My (not) so ordinary days

W Mediolanie jest jeden budynek, którego nie można przegapić.. Jak się pewnie domyślacie, jest to Duomo. Jest podobno jednym z największych kościłów na świecie, a jego witraże, rownież należą do najwyższych na świecie. Do wyboru jest kilka opcji zwiedzania katedry. Można kupić bilet w pakiecie: wnętrze, katakumby i dach, lub osobno. Nas najbardziej interesował dach (cena około 20 Eur) Stałyśmy w kolejce do wejścia dwie, bite godziny, ale było jak najbardziej warto… Dla mnie przebija nawet Sagradę Familia w Barcelonie..

There is only one building in Milan, you cannot miss.. As you can probably guess, it’s Duomo – one of the biggest churches in the world. Its stained glass windows also belong to the tallest in the world! There are many options of visiting Duomo – you can buy a combined tickets to see the rooftop, interior and catacombs, or you can chose to see those rooms separately. We were interested in seeing the rooftop the most, and even queueing for two long hours, was truly worth it!

 

Sam dach jest ozdobiony ponad 135-cioma pinaklami, rzeźbami i gargulcami a przy dobrej pogodzie można dostrzec Alpy. Alp nie widziałyśmy, ale widok zapiera dech w piersiach.

The roof of Duomo is covered by more than 135 pinnacles, sculptures and gargoyles and it is said, you can see the summits of the Alps from there. We couldn’t see the Alps but the views were breathtaking!

 

Powyżej widok na Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, w której znajdują się sklepy znanych, włoskich projektantów, jak Prada, Armani czy Versace. Szczególnie pięknie wygląda wieczorem.

Above is the view on Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, where you can find exclusive Italian designer shops, including Prada, Armani or Versace. It looks particularly beautiful at nighttime.

Zmęczone miastem, jeszcze tego samego dnia wsiadłyśmy w pociąg i ruszyłyśmy nad Como, ale o tym będzie w następnym poście.
