As I mentioned in a previous post I was visiting my family in Germany, just near the border with Luxembourg and obviously I couldn’t waste such a chance. I planned to visit the capital of Luxembourg (of the same name) on our way to Calais, so we set off straight after breakfast. That part of Germany is lovely green, full of forests and woodland, so we had a nice journey to Luxembourg. When we finally got there, it took me about 40 minutes to find a parking space, as the town was full of tourists. I was just about to give up and go, when I noticed a signpost to an underground car park belonging to one of the shopping center. Victory! There we go!

Jak już wspomniałam w poprzednim poście, odwiedzałam rodzinę w Niemczech, mieszkającą niedaleko granicy z Luxemburgiem. Oczywiście, nie mogłam przepuścić takiej okazji. Zaplanowałam zatem, że zwiedzimy stolicę Luxemburga (o tej samej z resztą nazwie) po drodze do Calais. Ruszyliśmy zaraz po śniadaniu. Tamta część Niemiec jest niesamowicie zielona i lesista, co bardzo nam umilało podróż do Luxemburga. Niestety kiedy już tam dotarliśmy, szukanie miejsca parkingowego zajęło mi około 40 minut, tak wielu było tam turystów. Już miałam się poddać, gdy zauważyłam znak do podziemnego parkingu centrum handlowego. A zatem zwycięstwo! Parkujemy!

We couldn’t stay too long as we were on our way to ferry crossing and still had most of France to go across, so after 3 hours of sightseeing we had to go back to where we abandoned our car. I feel I didn’t see or visit enough but there may be another occasion in future.

Nie mogliśmy zostać zbyt długo, gdyż jak wspomniałam byliśmy w drodze na prom i mieliśmy jeszcze do przejechania całą Francję. Tak więc, po około 3 godzinach zwiedzania ruszyliśmy do miejsca, gdzie porzuciliśmy nasz samochód. Czuję lekki niedosyt, ale może jeszcze kiedyś będzie okazja.
